Training Time and Venue
High lane U11s play in the Manchester Junior Respect League at the Platt Lane Centre and train on a Wednesday Evening. We currently have three teams competing in the league, playing 9v9 on state of the art artificial pitches.
The nucleus of the squad and coaches have been together since 2010/11 with the squad always expanding to welcome new players year on year.
We have three FA Licensed Coaches with coaching qualifications including Level 1, Level 2, FA Youth Award Module 1 and FA Youth Award Module 2. The coaches are committed to the FA Coach Education Pathway and are all striving to attain their next Level qualification.
The ethos of the team has always been that every player is given equal playing time regardless of their level and that they all experience playing in each different position. This has led to a well rounded squad where all players are improving year on year due to the match play experience and regular training.
We encourage a player led environment so that each team member can learn to make the correct footballing decisions by themselves. Ultimately we are working towards producing a successful team but not at the expense of enjoyment and a positive environment to learn and develop.
We hold an annual Good Friday Tournament, The Hardie Cup and provided the ball boys for Stockport County in their home fixture vs Kidderminster in October 2016.
High Lane F.C. is an inclusive club and is open to players of all ages, abilities, gender and ethnic backgrounds. If you would like to be part of this fantastic club, please download and fill in the player registration form and send back to your team manager.
