Before you come

What to bring, and the questions we get asked

What to bring

  • Trainers or soft-studded boots
  • Comfortable kit for the weather
  • A water bottle with their name on
  • Shin pads if they have them
  • A warm coat for the grown-ups

We provide the balls, bibs and goals — and there's a spare ball if theirs stays at home.

Does my child need any experience?
Not at all. Most children arrive having never played in a group before — that's exactly who the Soccer School is for.
Do I have to pay anything?
The 9:30–10:30am session is completely free for every child. Only the optional 10:30–11:00am technical mastery class costs £5 per child, paid on the day.
Can I stay and watch?
Yes, please do. The clubhouse is open with hot drinks and breakfast, and you're welcome pitch-side too.
What happens if the weather is bad?
We play in most weather, but if a session has to be called off we'll email everyone registered on the Saturday evening.
What happens when my child turns 7?
They move into one of our junior teams — the Soccer School is the first step on the pathway from Under 7s all the way to Open Age.
